Capitals vs. Canucks Preview

The Caps look to get back on track tonight against a tough opponent who they do not see very often. The Vancouver Canucks are first in the entire league with 62 points. The Sedin twins lead this team with 55 points a piece and a unique chemistry between the two brothers.

The Capitals have to snag a win tonight at the Verizon Center because the Southeast divison is not exactly a cupcake anymore. They will be without Alex Semin (thigh), Matt Bradley (broken finger), and Tom Poti who left Wednesday's game with an undisclosed injury. Vancouver will be missing Sami Salo who has been out most of the season with an achilles injury.

The focus of tonights's game has to be the power play and staying out of the box because that has put us in the hole the past two games. The Caps are bound to strike on the powerplay tonight and Nicklas Backtrom is due for a goal. Both teams are trying to start a winning streak with the Canucks coming off a 1-0 loss to the Rangers, and the Caps losing 3-0 to the Lightning.

Tonight will be a fast-paced, offensive driven game that you won't want to miss.
The puck drops at 7 at home in the Verizon Center. Lets get a win and Rock the Red.
