- Alexander Ovechkin: The Great 8 is back ladies and gents!!!! Ovi has 4 goals and 6 points in his last three games. He also scored his first hatrick of the year last night vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs. Finally, Alex has been playing some defense lately too with +5 ice rating in the past 3 games. Will he reach 50 goals? He has 19 right now with 33 games to play. Don’t ever doubt this man!!!!
- Braden Holtby: This youngster’s name was called Wednesday when both goaltenders were nursing lower body injuries. Needless to say Braden delivered big with 2 monumental wins for the Caps. He has allowed only two goals in two games, and his save percentage is through the roof around .966. Nice wax job rook!!!!!!!

- Mike Knuble: The Garbage Man is not exactly playing terrible but his plus minus rating is dropping every game. Knuble has a -4 ice rating and 1 point in the last 6 games. We need him to start cleaning up the trash more in the crease, and maybe play a little D.
